DARJEELING
Standing high in the Himalayas at an altitude of
2134m, ‘Dorje Ling’, or place of the Thunderbolt, offers breathtaking
views of snow -capped mountain peaks, with the Kanchendzonga rising
higher than all the others. Often referred to as the “Queen of the
Hills”, it remains just as alluring with its tiny waterfalls, little
villages and a narrow-gauge railway track. Surrounded by World Famous
Tea Gardens and snow capped mountains, Darjeeling remains one of the
most exotic destinations. Graeme Westlake in his book ‘An introduction
to hill stations on India’ refers to Darjeeling as having “A view
Scarcely Unrivalled on Earth”.
PELLING
Pelling is a town in the district of West Sikkim. Pelling is nestled at an altitude of 2,150 m (7,200 feet). The town is located at a distance of 10 km from the district headquarters of Geyzing. The Himalayas and the Kanchenjanga may be viewed at close quarters from Pelling. Pelling also forms the base from where trekkers and other peripatetic adventurers undertake the strenuous and arduous treks in West Sikkim. The land around Pelling is still a virgin territory and is bathed with alpine vegetation, with numerous waterfalls lining the hillside. In the months of winter, Pelling is sometimes covered with a blanket of snow.
GANGTOK
At an altitude of 1750m, Gangtok became the state
capital in the mid 19th century and has undergone rapid development
since then. The downtown area is dominated by huge government buildings
decorated with traditional Buddhist symbols. Gangtok is also a resting
ground for people traveling to North Sikkim. Surrounded by Monasteries
and Orchids, Gangtok is truly a traveler’s delight.

DAY 01 : ARRIVAL AT NEW JALPAIGURI / BAGDOGRA – TRANSFER TO GANGTOK (4 – 5 HRS)
On arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) or Bagdogra Airport (IXB), (500Ft / 150Mts) the driver will assist you to board your vehicle for Gangtok (5500 Ft /1677 Mts, 130 Kms / 04 to 05 Hrs). Check in at hotel. Evening you can visit MG road/ do shopping at you own leisure and overnight at Hotel.
DAY 02 : EX. GANGTOK – TSOMGO –BABA MANDIR
After breakfast, start for the day excursion to Tsomgo Lake - situated at a height of 12400Ft / 3780 Mts / 43Kms in 3Hrs one way, with an average depth of 50 ft. The cool water of the Lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around & Visit Baba Mandir. (Supplement charges for NATHULA PASS – Inr 4,500. Incase of Landslide or due to any other reasons if Tsomgo Lake / Nathula is closed then an alternate sightseeing will be provided). On the way have your lunch. Overnight in Gangtok.
DAY 03 : GANGTOK LOCAL SIGHTSEEING
After breakfast move out for local sightseeing covering Tashi View Point, Hanuman Tak, Ganesh Tak, Ban Jhakri Water Falls, Enchey Monastery, Do-Dul Chorten, Rumtek Monastery, Institute of Tibetology & rope way (own cost), Cottage Industry, White Hall, Flower Show etc. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
DAY 04: TRANSFER TO PELLING
After breakfast, transfer to Pelling via Ravangla (Approx 4hr-5hr drive). Enjoy the Mountain View drive. On the way have your lunch. Check in at hotel. Evening at your own leisure. Overnight in Pelling
DAY 05 - PELLING LOCAL SIGHT SEEING
Breakfast at the hotel and then proceed for city tour visiting Pemayangste Monastery, Rabtense Ruins, Khechipalri Lake, Dharap valley, Rock Garden, Kanchenjunga Falls & Rambi Falls. Pemayangste Monastery was built for "pure monks" (ta-tshang) meaning "monks of pure Tibetan lineage", celibate and without any physical abnormality. This practice is still retained. Only the monks of Pemayangtse Monastery are entitled to the title "ta-tshang". The head lama of this monastery had the unique privilege of anointing the Chogyals of the erstwhile monarchy of Sikkim with holy water.Pemayangtse means "Perfect Sublime Lotus", and is said to represent one of the four plexus of the human body. Khechipalri Lake it is one of the sacred Buddhist mountain lake and it is believed that whatever is wished in front of the lake comes true. Myth is that when a leaf falls on the placid clear water surface, it is picked by a bird. Evening at your own leisure. Overnight at Pelling.
DAY 06: TRANSFER TO DARJEELING
After breakfast, transfer to Queen of hills Darjeeling (Approx 4hr-5hr drive). Enjoy the Mountain View drive. On the way have your lunch. Check in at hotel. Evening at your own leisure. Overnight in Darjeeling.
DAY 07: DARJEELING
Early Morning at 04.00 AM visit Tiger Hill, famous for sunrise over Mt. Kanchendzonga, on the way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop and back to hotel. After breakfast proceed for visit 7 points, covering The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute & PNZ Zoological Park (both closed on Thursday) Tenzing Rock, Tibetans Refuge Centre (closed on Sunday), Tea Garden (outer view), Japanese Temple, & Ropeway. Enjoy Joy Ride in Toy Train (Optional and at own cost). Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 08 : DEPARTURE DROP TO NEW JALPAIGURI RAILWAY STATION / BAGDOGRA AIRPORT
After breakfast check out from hotel & transfer to Bagdogra Airport for onward journey. Tours end with sweet memories

Best Time to Visit: The best time to visit the Sikkim and Darjeeling is either between March to May (Spring) when you can witness the blooming season or from October to Mid-December (Autumn) when you can get a clear view of the Himalayan Range.
How to Reach: The state of Sikkim has an airport, which is in Pakyong; however, flights are not so frequent from the major parts of the country. The nearest airport is Bagdogra Airport which is in the state of Bengal and well connected by flights to the other major cities. From there, it will take 4.5 – 5 hours to reach Gangtok.
