Kaziranga National Park is
located on the banks of the mighty Brahmaputra River in the far North East of
India, Assam, covering an area of approximately 430-sq-kms with its swamps and
tall thickets of elephant grass making it the ideal habitat for the Indian
One-Horned Rhino. Due to limitless poaching of this prehistoric survivor, the
Kaziranga National Park was declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1940. Beside
of course the great one horned Indian Rhino, the other major wild attractions
include a large population of Indian Elephants, Indian Bison, Swamp Deer or
Barasingha, Hog Deer, Sloth Bears, Tigers, Leopard Cats, Jungle Cats, Otters, Hog
Badgers, Capped Langurs, Hoolock Gibbons, Wild Boar, Jackal, Wild Buffalo,
Pythons, Monitor Lizards, etc. Kaziranga National Park is also a birding
paradise

DAY 01: GUWAHATI – MANAS NATIONAL PARK
On arrival at Guwahati airport you will be received
and transferred to Manas National Park (220 kms / 04 ½ hrs drive). Reach Manas
and check into hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Manas.
DAY 02: MANAS NATIONAL PARK
Today we will move out for an elephant ride
inside the national park. Walk around an interesting village and also enjoy a private
jeep safari in one of the most beautiful national parks of Assam. Evening will
be at leisure and stay in Manas.
DAY 03: MANAS NATIONAL PARK – NAMERI
NATIONAL PARK
Today after breakfast we will drive to Nameri
National Park (325 kms / 07 hrs drive). Reach Nameri and check into lodge,
dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 04: NAMERI NATIONAL PARK
Early morning go for a trekking trip inside
the national park with an escorted forest guide. Later enjoy a boating trip in
rubber dinghies in Jia Bhorali river flowing along the national park. Back to
lodge and rest of the day at leisure or we can explore nearby villages.
DAY 05: NAMERI NATIONAL PARK –
KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK
Today after breakfast you will be driven to
Kaziranga National Park (100 kms / 2 hrs drive). Enroute we will stop for and
go for a Dolphin trip in motor run boats and later proceed further for
Kaziranga. Rest of the day will be in leisure and a short visit in an Assamese
village.
DAY 06: KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK
Today you will go for safaris and elephant
ride inside the national park. Early morning go for an Elephant ride (timing
5:00 AM/ 06:00 AM/ 7:00 AM – Timing allotment depend on Dept. Of Forest) then
return back to the lodge. After breakfast visit Orchid Park. Have your lunch
and refreshment go for a Jeep Safari in the Western/ Central range of the park
(timing 2:00PM / 3:00 PM) for 02 ½ hrs ( also depending on the sunset as in
winters the sun sets early in Northeast India). Evening at leisure. Overnight
stay will be in Kaziranga.
DAY 07: KAZIRANGA – GUWAHATI – FLY
Today after breakfast drive to Guwahati
airport for onward destination with memories and refreshed soul and body.
